Following the success of their global smash hit ‘Following The Sun’, UK producers SUPER-HI kick off their 2022 with the release of their brand new track ‘Told You So’. The new single finds the duo crafting an indie-dance leaning backdrop driven by uplifting acoustic guitars and funky bass lines. The rich vocal performance takes centre stage, evoking feelings of good times and being free. The duo was in search of trying “to write awesome things about things that are awesome (to steal a Chris Martin sentiment). ‘Following The Sun’ was all about a journey and ‘Told You So’ is all about the destination. It’s about excess, carefree living, the party, and the moment with friends and loved ones that we haven’t been able to be with in a very long time. We hope people love it as much as we do.”
The single comes off SUPER-HI’s incredibly successful year which saw them clocking in over 150 million streams, over 250,000 radio plays and over 1.9 million shazams for Following The Sun, certified Gold in Australia, New Zealand, Germany and Austria, whilst reaching #1 Shazam in Australia & NZ in March 2022.. It is currently climbing the top 40 at US Radio..

“It feels surreal even writing this as we never expected to be at this point but here, we are. We started this journey with a few simple goals. We wanted to write and produce music that was close to our heart conceptually and sonically, not to a ‘brief’, to use our co-writer friends as the featured artists to give us freedom from the bureaucracy of labels, and most ironically… put a song out a month to see if anything connected whilst touring was off the table due to COVID. It just so happened that our first record ‘Following the Sun’ was the perfect storm of an incredible new team in BLENDED, and a reaction across the globe that we could have never predicted in our wildest dreams. As we sit here now FTS is the number 1 SHAZAM’d tune in Australia and New Zealand, has amassed over 150 million streams and counting and seems to be sticking around.”
