Last night, Australian pop superstars Sheppard, along with special guest DJ Jolyon Petch, kicked off their live anticipated all-ages Australian shows, the first of eleven concerts travelling the country over the next month - dates/tickets available here. As a surprise for fans Amy, George, Emma and Jolyon have collaborated on a brand new single out now titled “Sunshine” to kick start summer dance parties early. Sheppard, now living in Nashville, have returned home to Australia to launch the tour and new single and is their first chance to celebrate with their Australian fans following the recent ARIA #1 success of their 4th studio album ZORA. The trio asked their friend and multi-platinum dance music artist, Jolyon Petch to open at all their headline shows, which will include stops in Sydney (tonight), Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Kiama on the NSW South Coast. In addition, Sheppard will make a ‘by demand’ return to the main stage of Tropical North Queensland’s favourite music festival, Savannah In The Round. The band will also make a stop off in Young, NSW to bring their positive vibes to The Carnival of Cups.
The new single “Sunshine” Sheppard x Jolyon Petch came to fruition when Jolyon visited the Sheppard’s in their new home in Nashville earlier this year. The superstar 2 x ARIA & MTV EMA Award nominated Producer and DJ who’s had an incredible eleven #1 singles on the ARIA Club Charts had an idea to completely put a new spin on a track they played him from the then unreleased “Zora” album. It was then the new version of “Sunshine” with lead vocals from Amy gave birth and held secretly from release until now as it radiates the energy of an approaching Australian summer.
