Canadian artist Laurell, currently residing in Sweden, has more than 200 million combined streams worldwide. Over the past years, she’s earned a marvellous reputation particularly for writing expressive, emotional, and modern songs with major hit-potential. Laurell has already received numerous prestigious music awards such as a JUNO, the Canadian GRAMMY (in the category of “Dance Recording Of The Year”) and won the Billboard World Song Contest. After the singer‘s hugely successful venture into publication, which performed particularly well in her native Canada, she has returned back to the mic once more with new single “Habit”.

“Habit” has already hit the radio with Top 10 and Top 20 chart results in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. With over 3000 radio spins per week the song proves to be highly reactive resulting in being among Shazam’s Global Top 100 Pop songs currently. The streaming curve is skyrocketing throughout all Streaming systems. Clearly it makes for a smooth Australian single debut of this enchanting singer/ songwriter, who is progressively and relentlessly working towards her upcoming solo-album.

With its highly recognisable melody and the most entertaining and self-reflected lyrics, Laurell’s unusually fine sense for accentuated song writing makes this song truly special. Her distinctive and powerful voice has been shaped by R&B influences and is reminiscent of artists such as Jessie Reyez, Anna Marie, Sia or Bebe Rexha. It is carried by an engaging and driving beat, unfolding its energetic impression fully from the very first tone.
