FRENCH DJ APE TEAMS UP WITH UK SUPERSTAR CONOR MAYNARD ON NEW SINGLE “OUR DESIRE”
APE returns to the scene in full force with new single “Our Desire”, a collaboration with English singing superstar Conor Maynard, it follows APE’s debut single last year “She’s in my Head” with Australian William Singe.
“Our Desire” is a dance pop track, with a layered production, that makes Conor’s vocals shine. The lyrics reference the universal feeling of meeting a new partner and wanting to enjoy the moment without thinking about the consequences. As Conor sings, we should all “let the stars lead our desire” every now and then.
The electric new single is out now along with a high budget music video shot in New York. Inspired by a cyberpunk aesthetic, it follows APE and Conor in a dystopian world, where life is lived through VR glasses and experiences are gamified – Watch HERE!
The rising French Producer and DJ APE made an impressive debut with his first single, "She's in my Head”, featuring Australian singer William Singe (voice of Jonas Blue’s international mega hit “Mama"). The debut track reached more than 1 million plays on Spotify and almost 3 million views on Youtube, as well as notable radio play on mainstream stations like bigFM (Germany), HIT RADIO FFH (Germany), Fun Radio (Belgium), and the music video appeared on big music tv channels in France (Cstar, MTV, Trace Urban).
Conor Maynard at aged 18 was a huge breakout artist in 2012 with his debut album “Contrast” which went #1 in his homeland UK and Top 50 in Australia. It spawned 3 x charting hit singles in both territories “Can’t Say No”, “Vegas Girl” and “Turn Around”. Fast forward and just in the past few years in his late 20’s Conor has had collectively One Billion streams across streaming platforms, including the credited voice on some huge tracks. “Our Desire” with APE comes off the back of Conor delighting fans by finally touring Australia for the first time in June last year to SOLD OUT shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & Perth.
